PARTNERSHIP CASE STUDY

A real-world example of how a GZC partnership developed during its early growth stage — from building the first provider groups to reaching its initial growth targets.

To respect the privacy of the partner involved, the brand and identifying details have been withheld from this case study.

THE BUSINESS

The brand was developed around a simple digital comparison model — connecting people looking for plumbing services with plumbing businesses looking for genuine new customer opportunities.

GZC had developed the brand, website and digital infrastructure behind the platform, including the customer enquiry process, provider systems and the foundations needed to take the concept to market.

The next stage was to work with a partner who could focus on the people and business side of the platform — developing relationships with service providers and helping build the provider network.

A Simple Model Built Around A Real Market Need.

THE PARTNERSHIP

The partnership was structured around each side focusing on different strengths.

GZC managed the digital and strategic side of the business, including the website, technology, systems, marketing, lead generation, provider infrastructure and ongoing development of the platform.

The partner focused primarily on communicating with service providers, introducing businesses to the platform, developing relationships and building the provider network.

This allowed the partner to concentrate on growing the commercial side of the business without needing technical, website or digital marketing experience.

Different Strengths. One Shared Direction.

THE FIRST MONTH

The initial objective was deliberately kept simple — establish the first provider groups and prove that businesses were willing to participate in the model.

During the first month, the partner successfully established:

3 PROVIDER GROUPS

representing approximately:

18 ACTIVE PROVIDERS

and generating approximately:

$18,000 IN PROVIDER REVENUE

Rather than trying to expand too quickly, the focus remained on establishing the initial groups, developing provider relationships and creating a repeatable process that could be used as the network grew.

Start Small. Prove The Model. Build From There.

THE FIRST TARGET

The first major milestone was to establish five provider groups.

That target was reached approximately:

6 WEEKS AFTER LAUNCH

At that point, the platform had grown to:

5 PROVIDER GROUPS

30 PROVIDERS

APPROXIMATELY $30,000 IN PROVIDER REVENUE

This demonstrated that the initial provider acquisition process could move beyond the first few businesses and develop into a broader provider network.

The First Target Was Reached. The Growth Had Only Begun.

WHAT HAPPENED NEXT?

Reaching five provider groups was the first major target, but it wasn’t the end of the growth.

With the initial model established, the focus shifted towards expanding the provider network into additional markets and applying the same process in new locations.

Over the following 3 months, the platform expanded from 1 initial market to 2 markets across Australia, eventually developing a presence in 2 states.

The provider network grew from the original five groups to approximately 12 groups and 72 participating providers, demonstrating that the process established during the initial launch could be repeated as the business expanded.

By the 6-month mark, the business had expanded into 4 states, with approximately 20 provider groups and a network of between 100 and 120 participating providers. This is where the business currently stands, with the provider network continuing to grow as the platform expands into new markets.

Prove The Model. Then Take It Further.

HOW THE GROWTH WAS ACHIEVED

The early growth wasn’t based on the partner needing specialist technical or digital marketing knowledge.

The process was fundamentally about communication and relationships.

Potential providers were identified and introduced to the platform, the opportunity was explained, questions were answered and interested businesses were guided through the process of joining the network.

At the same time, GZC continued managing the systems, digital infrastructure and development behind the platform.

Growth Came From Conversations, Relationships And Consistent Action.

THE RESULTS

Within approximately six weeks, the partnership had progressed from its initial launch to reaching the first major provider-network target.

The early-stage results included:

3 provider groups established during the first month

5 provider groups established within approximately six weeks

30 service providers brought into the network

$30,000 in provider revenue generated

Initial growth target achieved

The growth continued beyond the initial target. By the 3-month mark, the platform had expanded to approximately 12 provider groups, 72 participating providers and a presence across 2 states.

At the 6-month mark, the business has now grown to approximately 20 provider groups, between 100 and 120 participating providers, and a presence across 4 states — with the provider network continuing to grow as the platform expands into new markets.

These results demonstrate not only that the model could attract participating businesses during its initial launch, but that the same relationship-focused approach could be repeated and scaled as the business expanded into new markets.

From 3 Groups To 20 — And Still Growing.

WHAT THIS CASE STUDY DEMONSTRATES

This case study isn’t intended to suggest that every GZC brand or partnership will produce the same results. Different markets, industries, partners and economic conditions can produce very different outcomes.

What it does demonstrate is how the GZC partnership model can work in practice.

With the digital infrastructure and systems managed by GZC, the partner was able to focus on developing relationships and growing the commercial side of the business.

The initial objective wasn’t to build a national business overnight.

It was to start with a manageable target, establish the first provider groups, prove the process and build from there.

Build The Foundations. Prove The Process. Grow From There.
